Old post, but the previous answer is incorrect, in case others are looking at it In the Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\, click the individual folders and you will see OEMName Double-click that and you can rename each controller Of course if they are all currently displaying the same name there

Re: Xbox 360 Controller for Windows Problem Glad to hear it is fixed It's just a radio transmitter so you could plug it in 30feet away and it probably would still work If you feel there is no other issue you can mark this thread solved under thread tools

As the title says, I don't get 2 different gamepads for the same type of controller (yes, I can see them in the Control Panel joy cpl) i e using Windows I can see in joy cpl the following list:

The Windows game controller utility (joy cpl) doesn't try to remap gamepad buttons It's using DirectInput API, which chooses button indices based on the HID usage identifier assigned to each button input
