At first I thought it was a Walmart thing but it doesn't seem to matter where we buy it Costco, Aldi, Walmart or even our local supermarket chains (Shoprite, Price Chopper, Stop and Shop etc ) Likely means someone along the chain hasn't handled the product properly and it was exposed to room temperatures too long

Store brands included ShopRite, Sears (made by Warren Oil), Walmart (made by WPP), Rural King, (made by Warren Oil), Advance (I suspected made by Valvoline and Texaco in different periods), probably Kmart, and others I can't recall
