Sintra is a beautiful city, very romantic Its palaces, castle and gardens make it unique To visit Sintra and all its palaces you need at least 2 days, but you can have the feeling of the city with just 1 day trip At night Sintra is asleep ;) Everything is closed after 7pm You will be better off sleeping in Lisbon I hope I've helped you Mafalda

I chose the places in Sintra that I wanted to see which were the National Palace, Quinta da Regalaira , the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace We only felt rushed at the Quinta da Regalaira and could have probably used another hour there

Sintra is a time-consuming (but Must-Do) visit, because of tourist crowding and separation of the individual attractions You also need to check on Saturday hours for the attractions, and sunset time for that date! Sintra is scenic from the outside, but multiple entries are ESSENTIAL

The town of Sintra is lovely and relaxing when not crowded, with many sites, much public art, many parks and green areas, and plenty of interesting shops, bakeries and good restaurants There are about 5 close-by palaces, each different and enjoyable, most with an estate or park to wander around Each would merit a half a day or so
