If Smash 6 cuts characters, that probably means that a bunch of the veterans will probably end up as DLC Then there's also the posibility of them diping on already represented series as DLC, like they did with Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy and Xenoblade in Ultimate DLC

Now that Smash has become such a mega crossover with a major emphasis on crowd pleasing surprises and or big promotional figures, it's hard to really imagine him popping barring some Plant like DLC but non-fighter's pass character

While Smash is considered something else by Nintendo because of it being a crossover game According to the title screens, the first three games are shared by HAL and Nintendo while Smash 4 onwards is fully owned by Nintendo

Something that got me thinking, if alternate costumes become more frequent in the next Smash, similar to Byleth, do you hope for alternate costumes that change certain aspects of the character? Besides idle animations, what if there were some that changed the entrance animation, taunts or even the Final Smash (visually, not effect or hit-box wise)?
