There are other sources depending on specific model and there is of course Standard Catalog of Smith Wesson But for Semi-Auto Pistols, particularly those with 3 letter alpha prefixes, the list is incomplete and based largely on observations - and there is significant year overlap and discontinuity of serial numbers

This past weekend I attended a revolver class given by Kyle Yount of Surprise Break The revolvers used were, 686+, 340, 60 3" barrel,431 and me with a 432 UC Kyle keeps a good pace with relevant drills Everyone was safe, experienced and fun I chose the 432 because of the reduced recoil
