Got a new Pvs-14 from JRH yesterday and last night I got it out and shot some in the back yard with my AR9 with a stock Vortex Crossfire 2 red dot on its riser I was able to make passive aiming work with the stock riser but it was pretty uncomfortable So now I am considering a high riser for NV shooting and have some questions

I debated this too I got the Vortex Crossfire because buttons aren't as durable and fast as knobs I don't like buttons I also don't trust "wake up" technology The Holosun doesn't make sense to have the battery in a knob like location on the left side but still uses buttons I also preferred a plain red dot to the EOTech circle dot

SPARC AR and Crossfire red dot are both now updated to 50k battery life and true NV setting on lowest two settings Pretty significant improvement considering the price hasn't changed, too As for motion activation, still don't have that on these red dots

Am looking to replace my heavy tasco 1x42 red green on my primary 22 pistol a Buckmark I really do like the wide field of view but it has a 5MOA dot and am seeking a 2 or 3MOA Am also planning to put a vortex on my back up 22 a SW M41 any opinions on the Vortex Crossfire are appreciated They are in my budget about 149 00

On the Vortex Crossfire Red Dot you can move the knob in between any of the power settings and it will turn off the LED So it is quote common to have red dots that won't freely rotate all the way around for the power knob
