- Underwater Combat: DM cheat sheet : r Pathfinder2e - Reddit
In my previous post, Underwater Combat is Hard, I mentioned a DM cheat sheet I'd put together, that summarizes all rules for underwater combat on one page Here is the Underwater Combat and Movement cheat sheet Nearly all of this information is straight from the rulebooks The only houserules you'll find here are:

Aquatic Combat Combat works essentially the same under the water as it does on land, with a few notable exceptions While all land moving maneuvers such as a five-foot step and attacks of opportunity apply to swimming, other maneuvers have slightly different effects The most notable change is that the prone condition is obsolete underwater
- Do amphibious creatures with the Aquatic subtype take underwater combat . . .

In both 3 5 and Pathfinder their are no special rules for elemental types besides fire Pathfinder added a concentration check to cast any spell underwater now (3 5 didn't have that) and if its a fire based spell their is even a caster level check Otherwise no additional rules for elemental damage types
- How do I do underwater combat? : r Pathfinder_RPG - Reddit
Underwater or water based combat in general is a grossly annoying slog Freedom of Movement is a 5th level spell that completely negates all the disadvantages of being in water If you rely on those disadvantages to balance your encounters, and your players have access of FoM, you'll curse the day you started DMing

Crossbows don't work unless they are underwater crossbows, pretty much any weapon not piercing does half damage, thrown weapons are useless, ranged weapons take a -2, and more Instead of listing everything, I'll just link the appropriate rules page for Aquatic Terrain Has everything you need to know
