- Eurail pass vs Britrail pass - Rick Steves Travel Forum
Eurail does not include Rail-Air buses from Heathrow, and probably doesn't cover the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog narrow gauge preserved railways in North Wales Even at $968 that is a great deal The same domestic 1st class pass (an All Line Rail Rover) only exists for a maximum 14 days and for seniors costs £915 40

Am I correctly understanding that since the Eurail pass is 'unlimited,' it would include our round-trip travel as well as one-way directional travel? The Continuous pass is unlimited in that it covers travel on every day for the entire date range of the pass The Flex pass is only good for a specified number of days within the date range
- Is Eurail Plus worth it? - Rick Steves Travel Forum
For most eurail tickets holders, especially in France and Italy require a seat reservation for each leg at an additional cost So Plus might be useful in France where the number of tickets available to pass holders is limited Unless you are traveling during Christmas, getting a seat reservation is never a problem -- too many trains
- BritRail or Eurail pass? - Rick Steves Travel Forum
The first-class Eurail pass was $299 - not that much more than the senior BritRail pass - so I thought I might spring for that, just because I’m in my eighth decade! So back to my original query - is there an advantage to using a BritRail pass over a Eurail pass? Or am I missing something?
- Swiss Travel Pass and Eurail Pass - which one? - Rick Steves
Swiss Travel Passes still cover all lake boats in Switzerland With the Swiss Travel Pass, discounts on high-mountain lifts and trains are now only available on one of your flexipass travel days (whereas Eurail-brand passes still let you take advantage of discounted train and boat rides at any point within the pass's validity window)

Will you have a FLEXI Eurail pass (like 15 days within 2 months)?? If so, the D-Ticket means that if you were planning a journey using only the S-Bahn and or regional trains only on a given day, you could use the D-Ticket instead and would save one of your 15 railpass days with a D-Ticket For example
- Eurail Pass for 2 months - Rick Steves Travel Forum
Eurail pass is good on regional local trains, but not subways, street cars, buses The biggest drawbacks are that high speed trains in France, Italy, Spain, Eurostar trains between the UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands require you to purchase separate seat reservations This can be from 10 EUR and up per leg
