One thing I found before with my V1 (G1 og) 3 8945, that if you run custom sweeps 'C' mode, it greatly reduces the detectability down to about 10m 30 feet running inside a vehicle with a Spectre III on max sensitivity , than running factory default 'A' mode

So in addition to doing a bunch of R7 Spectre testing this week, I also went out to go retest the R1 and R3 against both the Spectre III and Spectre Elite I know a couple of you guys also picked up a Spectre III on eBay and were able to detect your R3's which is different from what I saw with

The Spectre Elite can pick up the R9 only at close range (ie driving past the vehicle or if an officer pulls up behind an R9 owner), and only if the RDD is set to max sensitivity If it's set to the recommended standard sensitivity option, it doesn't pick up the R9 at all

Today I got my hands on Genevo MAX So I did some indoor Spectre testing Spectre III detects Genevo MAX in about 4 meters So not completely undetectable like Redline, but in real world that should be stealth enough Genevo MAX does pick up Spectre III at about same distance as KA band radar

The Spectre has a directional antenna and a swivel mount, so they can turn it to see where the signal is coming from That said, in heavy traffic it would be hard to pinpoint the culprit, but in lighter traffic, not so hard

Yesterday I met up with [MENTION=11324]meismyname[ MENTION] to do some Spectre Elite testing I brought a ton of RD's (thanks everyone!) and we did some maximum detection range testing basically slowly driving towards the RD and seeing how far away the Spectre Elite could detect each detector

Both the Spectre III and Spectre Elite have manual gain control, but the Spectre Elite does have additional filtering built in to help reduce false alarms Thus it tends to appear less sensitive than the Spectre III, and I'd expect this test to represent the worst case scenario I do not know how many Spectre IIIs are still in use
