Basically what the title says, i'm wondering how bad important or even how accurate ooklas speed test is for the download and upload latency; my idle latency is around 6-10ms but during the download test it shows the download latency anywhere between 300-500ms whilst the upload latency stays at a steady 9ms i'm on wired and get about 400mb down and 50mb up I'm not having any real issues that

I generally use iperf to do local testing to make sure things are working correctly on my end and then use the Speedtest net CLI to test out to the internet I usually manually set the test server to be one hosted by my ISP since it’s testing the shortest path and there’s not much you can do about how your ISPs interconnects to other networks tbh Using the one closest is the closest you
