I've been evaluating Ring vs Nest in advance of a renovation I will be doing to my house in Spring '24 , and whilst I really like Ring, it seems there are features that are missing - and worse half the time they are in the US and not in the UK This worries me as it seems that Ring don't care about the UK market

To compensate, I put a big blob of solder on the corresponding screw "container" and put it back together Back on the power bench it started now to draw current , and after reinstalling at the front door, the physical bell worked again @Ring: is that a common known issue? Is it possible to get these small "spring pins" as a replacement part?

Last spring, I was unable to do "Live View" on the doorbell Unfortunately, I was 800 miles away, so I could not look at the doorbell to see what was happening The app told me that the battery was 73%, which I assume means it was 73% the last time it communicated, so I don't think the battery had suddenly died when it went offline

I removed the unit, plugged it into the charging cable provided and re-installed it When I pressed the doorbell button, my inside chime buzzed and then stopped working I took the plastic cover off the inside Nutone brand doorbell chime unit, and I saw that the spring and striker had popped out of place, and a plastic piece had melted

That didn't work Any more ideas? My Ring is less than 3 months old I've had to change out the doorbell chime transformer (16V) because Ring switch stuck and eventually burned it up

The only updates I ever had to do, were during time changes (spring forward and fall back) I travel for work so it is very important to have these lights on while I am away The Ring app currently allows us to only manually turn it on and off, which is not helpful to scheduling I really appreciate your assistance and consideration
