POW days at Stowe are epic, always untouched snow to be found I generally stay off of Mansfield unless it is the last run of the day as sometimes the gondola can take a bit, but the trail selection is only worth it there if you are looking for specifically groomers

Stowe is a tourist town and it's best features are well documented One thing that isnt is the quiet path starting at cemetery rd Lots of people take their dogs their off leash so be aware of that, but it offers a nice quiet walk without the bikes of the rec path And great views of the town and mountain

You can certainly visit the town of Stowe for free and walk around, it is a beautiful place I dont know much about the parking and operations side of Stowe Mountain Resort but you will have beautiful views of the mountains from town and plenty of places to eat Also, try posting in r icecoast r skiing as this sub gets a lot of questions with only a few people in it and it gets overwhelming

Love both places, and btw, Stowe has lots of good skiers there as well especially over on Mt Mansfield where all of the challenging terrain is at With that being said you need to try Jay if you've never been, it feels like a different world at the top up there The tree skiing is awesome but It's going to take you at least two days to explore the whole mountain It's well worth it if you've
