Got a 89' 19ft sunbird with the 4 3 omc and can only get it up to 37mph, thats with a SS 14 1 2 x19p prop thats not in the best shape Whats the top speed some of you sunbird owners are getting out of your boats?

Re: Are Sunbird boats any good? i own a 1997 sunbird 200 cc powered by a 1998 johnson 150hp boat was bought by the previous owner in '98, so it's going into it's 6th season i like the boat, especially the price i paid nothing sticks out as far as bad, but it is a quality boat the electrical is a bit messy, the hatches have become loose, thru-hulls are plastic but nothing i haven't been

Yes, she takes on a little water even after some hull repairs I am reading everyday about replacing stringers, Floor is the last to rot, and drill into the transom to see if it's wet or rotted just wondering whats under this floor, Anyone done these repairs on a Sunbird Odyssey deck boat?
