Supernet Calculator Other I use to have a bookmark for an amazing web site tool that would take a list of CIDR networks, could be 100's or 1000's, and calculate ALL of the narrowest-possible CIDRs for the entire set

And whether or not it is needed, is there a way to supernet using only dotted decimal notation with no bits? Kinda like how the "magic number" method for subnetting uses the decimal notation? Meaning, you use 192 168 1 0 24 instead of 11000000 10101000 00000001 00000000 11111111 11111111 11111111 00000000

- For all my Alberta, Canada peeps: Axias agreement to manage . . . - Reddit
SuperNet is (or was) a lot more than just rural customers Schools and colleges used it extensively; our sites within Edmonton connected to our Edmonton DC using SuperNet as did our sites all across Alberta I've been out of that sector for 5 years now so I have no idea what's going on now

You don't need to define every subnet individually, if you have a "supernet" range that can cover each site For example, 10 1 0 0 16 could be in AD assigned site A, and 10 2 0 0 16 in site B Even if you have actually have 200 separate 10 1 x 0 24 subnets under site A, they don't need to be listed individually
- eli5: pls explain supernetting with some examples
With supernetting, you can combine these three subnets into a single supernet using the following address: 192 168 0 0 22 This supernet has 4,096 addresses, which is much larger than the 768 addresses in the original three subnets However, because the supernet is larger, it can still accommodate all of the addresses in the original three subnets
