Will Symantec still fix bugs in SEP 12 x? We will continue to provide bug fixes until the End of Standard Support Life date on April 3, 2019 Is a migration required? Raised a case with Broadcom yesterday and this was their response SEP version 14 0 to 14 2 reached End Of Support (EOS) on December 31, 2024, which means that virus definitions updates were supposed to be discontinued since this date, however, Broadcom decided to extend it for a while (until the end of March) to give our customers more time to upgrade their product (ref: How to find End of

CleanWipe can remove older installations of Symantec Endpoint Protection However, you should not use an older version of CleanWipe to remove a newer version of Symantec Endpoint Protection

Client Install Setting -> "Remove existing Symantec Endpoint Protection client software that cannot be uninstalled" This choice make one force boot after uninstalled old version and then install new version of SEP After this, you can remove SEP without password if there is no password defined in group policy
