TMDB is a website that has data for movies and tv shows (like IMDB for instance, but more detailed as far as useful metadata) TMDB Helper is an addon that you use to browse and watch tv shows and movies, using TMDB as its data source Typing TMDB into a search engine would have given you half of that information ;)

Additional metadata from TMDB is available for most of the episodes, it picks up that E6 on TvDB is E9 on TMDB for example, and presents posters and text accordingly The problem is episodes that TMDB has decided belongs in a different season
