You can drop all of these into NAPS2 again and save as jpg, which should give you the best results for a lot less disk space Again, this probably isn't the most efficient or elegant way to accomplish what you're trying to do, but it's one that will get the job done for free, and produce good results

Late to the party, but maybe this can still help you or the next person Best software that I know is NAPS2 (Not Another PDF Scanner) Its free, open-source, no bullshit or bloat After youre done scanning both sides, select all scanned items and reorder interleaved I think thats what you were looking for

HP scanning drivers are quite barebones when compared to Canon or Brother, while Epson likes to bundle incredible amounts of crap with their drivers You could use NAPS2 with TWAIN or try the paid VueScan software
