The main criticism I see from reviews is the Tallboy is the least peppy climber when compared to other short travel bikes If they could address that, while still keeping it's descending capabilities, the Tallboy could be back in the spotlight Of course, the above only matters to internet nerds like myself who love reading reviews and comparisons

I like the Tallboy with lightish wheels that can take a beating and grippy tires I took the Tallboy on a coast to coast road trip as my "one bike" Rode a bunch of lift serviced bikeparks, TWE, Bentonville, pedaly east cost roots and tech, long backcountry XC pedals, old school DH tech and chunk and more machine built flow trails than I needed to

Tallboy v5 CC frame, size large weighs 3300 grams out of the box, including rear axle, hanger and glovebox door That’s 250grams more than the TB4

The Tallboy is definitely a poppy bike, handles great, climbs excellent and is fun to throw around on the trails It can handle just about anything my Switchblade can handle on local trails

The Tallboy was a popular model likely high production numbers but there where are some unbelievable discounts on them (friend got a $8k retail one for $5200) this year so a discontinued model may be correct
