The really rare one would be a 1944-1945 vintage Russian SKS I know of none in the U S Very rare is the version with the Tula star on the receiver cover with no date beneath it

The term 'per-ban' gets thrown around a lot In the context of the SKS it's kind of a non issue because a standard SKS has a fixed magazine and the 'assault weapons' ban effected detachable magazine semi auto rifles
