- Need advice on Technics SX-GA3 - The Organ Forum
Re: Need advice on Technics SX-GA3 Market value depends on the area you live in It could go anywhere for a couple of hundred dollars to a thousand dollars I sold my GA3 for $200 here in the Pacific NW It was missing the music rest and the bench (both of which disappeared in a move) but otherwise was in excellent condition Technics organs are virtually 'bulletproof" Very reliable but parts

Re: Technics disk drive problems Have you tried cleaning the drive with one of those floppy disc cleaners? If that fails to fix the issue, you can replace the floppy drive To my knowledge, the EA FA series uses a standard PC floppy drive

We had gx7 in early 90's quite good organ, the 7 had disk drive as standard and decent spec The organ sound was I think much better than later GN models technics went backwards a bit The gx7 models was the replacement for the earlier G7 and was a good step forward when introduced, good news is they are now very cheap and still decent organs

The technics u range dates from about 1980 the u60 being top range model the u90 came year later to top out range The u60 was about £2000 back then, the U40 probably somewhere between £1000-£1500 Sadly value demand now has all but gone, can buy u90's for £50 I was offered one for free last year if I wanted it Old organs are little like old cars value is simply whatever buyer will pay
