Just picked up a new set of plugs to go with my freshly installed HEI conversion, from Dave Ray, and they are all gapped at 045 I thought they were set up out of the box for points at 035 Maybe not, but will be at the outer limit for the HEI Just putting this out there for anyone running

Here's the problem, the stihl setting gage seems to set the air gap too tight, like 0 004" measured between the ignition module arms and the flywheel magnets using a feeler gage set It seems as though the center coil pick up on the ignition module has a wider air gap Now my question, what is the proper way to measure an ignition module air gap?

Building a 454 030 overbore and pre gapped rings are 25 26 thou gap That is a bit more than I would like Mild street build Naturally aspirated ok, or do I have to buy file fit that cost a fortune? Will this gap give too much blow-by?

Things that determine resistance is the plug wire conductor (metal conducts better than carbon impregnated fiberglass strands), the spark gap, and the resistance in the plug (the R in the designation of an AC-delco plug denotes an internal air gap to prevent power from bleeding off too soon)

TH350 Stock converter to a BluePrint 350 w BP Flexplate (new) I have done the research and just wanted to confirm what I have read online with the knowledge base here When I go to bolt the TC and the flywheel together, there is a gap of 210 as measured with feeler gauges (see pic below)

Having trouble getting the front fenders to align I installed the doors on the vehicle first The door alignment to the rear quarters and the door gap to the rear quarter is very good Have installed and disassembled the front fenders 3 or 4 times and can't seem to get the fenders to align

The business cars gap is the quickest way of setting and will be fine As for the tape on that fly wheel I have never seen anything on any flywheel like that on any machine from large to small I have worked on If you bought the saw second hand maybe that was the previous owners way of setting the gap?
