This was a 5 dollar fix not including fluid and the pan gasket and filter Again, I think a lot of places really overlook this thing or they simply want you to drop 4k on a new transmission Also I ran my transmission on manual, on 6th gear for 35 minutes The fluid stayed at a healthy 76c! I didn't even need the trans cooler!

Some transmission mechanics will recommend 30k max to make sure the fluid and filters stay very clean, and to keep tabs on whether or not there's excess metal in the transmission pan that indicates a potential problem A drain and refill is really all that's needed, a machine flush isn't necessary

If the fluid isn’t green, flush the transmission immediately, change the filters and put new fluid in I’m up to 165,000 on my transmission and it feels brand new It is Very Very easy to check the CVT fluid level in a 2007 to 2011 Jeep Patriot AND you should do it all the time!
