Tropicana renovation? I'm looking to book a weekend in AC and I hear the trop was recently renovated All the reviews say to stay in havana tower, but I'm curious if that is different now that the renovation is finished In your opinion, what would be the best tower to stay in for the weekend?

Tropicana is good value for your money Every year after Labor day, Trop significantly lower their room rates It's near the end of the boardwalk and about a ten minute walk to Caesars and Bally's Resorts, Hard Rock, and Ocean is another 25 minute walk away Taxis are available outside the hotel and maximum charge in AC is $13 00

Trop has more of a variety, plus request an ocean view Caesers, middle of town, actually can throw a seashell to the Outlets, also ocean views, plus Gordon Ramsey restaurants Harrahs is almost a vacation from the high wire act that Atlantic City can do to us Very nice, views overlook the marina and bay Guests over 21 can spend the day at the Pool, very relaxing enjoyable year round Very

I prefer either the North or South Towers when I stay at Tropicana South Tower is the original tower It’s nice bc upon check in at the lobby, (main lobby where valet parking is) the elevator for south tower is right there No lugging you stuff through the quarters to get to Havana They are older “style” rooms, but have been updated A lot of the rooms are big and have a couch in them

Theres 2 types of regular rooms in the West tower, the remodeled one and the old one Both are pretty shitty but it will be fine if you are not expecting luxury Still 1000× better than the non-casino hotel rooms Sometimes you will get a room thats dirty or smelly, you can ask the front desk to change rooms

The Tropicana hits that soft spot, but at the same time, I think I walked through it only once and was underwhelmed with everything except the cool glass ceiling and history All old things have a history, but is that history enough reason to keep it around? I just came home from a nightmare stay at the Tropicana My wife and I decided to come down to AC this week to gamble, go to the Lucky Snake at Showboat, see a movie at the IMAX, do some sightseeing and enjoy some peace and quiet during the off-season
