There seem to be few recent threads regarding the advantages of different tweeter technologies, particularly given that newer models have obviously been released I am curious what people's thoughts are wrt different tweeter types currently available I have personally owned silk domes

Could it be much more expensive to make a dome tweeter that sounds close to, or better than the RAAL tweeter found in the Sierra-2? Most speakers I read about that use ribbon tweeters often are commented on saying they compete with much more expensive speakers; Goldenear, Ascend's RAAL, Arx, or Martin Logan for example What's the deal?

Hi guys I have two Mordaunt-Short MS 5 20s wired up to a JVC AX-A372 amp (very old, I know) The woofers(?) on the speakers (the bottom ones) work well and have a nice solid bass etc, but the tweeters(?) at the top of the speakers don't appear to be making any noise at all I use the setup for
