I have to make a decision on Forteo vs Tymlos and am not sure what to choose Forteo has been around a lot longer, but has to be refrigerated Tymlos only around 1 1 2 years but is shelf stable and seems to have less side effects and less issues with calcium Can anyone offer their perspective? Has anyone else experienced immediate and severe side effects from Tymlos, with their first injection? I had a first and last injection of Tymlos in my doctors office a few weeks ago I received the injection, and then became very dizzy with vertigo as the room seemed to tilt, and my heart rate elevated I didn’t panic as that was somewhat to be expected However, then steadily increasing

Has anyone else had leg back aches with Tymlos? I've been on it since October and lately I've had terrible aches in my legs and lower back, especially at night Is that one of the known side effects? Thanks!

The thought process seems to be that most of the treatment gains of Tymlos are in the first 12-18 months, and by “saving” 6 months of the tymlos treatment it could be used at another time if bone density declines again The lifetime limit for Tymlos is still 24 months Has anyone heard of this? I started Tymlos at half and then full dose and ended up in the ER Had afib, but also was dizzy, headachy, pain all over, nausea- lots of side effects I stopped, then met with docs, then restarted at two clicks out of 8 (my idea) I slowly went up over two months, to 7 clicks, where I have stayed for a year This really minimized side effects

He prescribed Tymlos, which I have now been on for 8 months I changed my medical insurance to Medicare, and the doctor who prescribed both Evenity and Tymlos doesn't take it I went back to the doctor who prescribed Fosamax after Evenity and he freaked out and said Tymlos is NEVER given after Evenity His colleague in the same office concurred
