Several schools have reportedly already started to go to their waitlists (have heard that Marist, Tulane, Occidental, Chicago and UVA have reportedly started to, to name a few) as schools work to build fill their classes Lets please use this thread (wasn’t sure where to put it, so will try it here first, and maybe move it if there is a better place for it) to list add when you have heard

<p>I’ve searched the internet but I can’t seem to find a reasonable estimate of what kind of stats an American citizen would need to get into UBC I am a junior in Minnesota right now I would probably be applying for arts, major in econ and something else Right now I have a 3 8 UW GPA which is dropping (almost definitly will be somewhere in the 3 7-3 8 range after this year) and a 32 ACT

Personally, I love the school culture at UBC most, it’s quirky, it has great clubs and its design teams are very interesting (and related to sustainability) Though, a lot of people have warned me against going to Canada as an engineer (apparently the job market is relatively slower than the states) USC and UW are close seconds

Hi, I’m a US junior starting my search for universities I’m planning on majoring on English and Creative Writing, and everything I’ve heard about UBC looks great However, I haven’t been able to find much about UBC’s English Creative Writing program So I was wondering: how prestigious is it? How are the faculty? How does it compare to schools like Iowa’s program or Northwestern

For UBC, I got accepted into the Faculty of Science (no major yet but possible biology based) Same faculty for Toronto (major: human biology) Same faculty for McGill (major: Anatomy and Cell Biology) As I’m planning on pursuing in medicine in the future (probably plastic surgery or dermatology), my majors are biology based

I don’t think that UBC is much of a smaller pond Vancouver is more expensive than Toronto, but both are very expensive Vancouver has a tighter connection to Asia Yes, U of T has grade deflation Only about 10-15% of students will get a 3 5 or higher However, I wouldn’t expect UBC to be much different
