A bit of unsolicited advice, front ends for the help desk folk are a good idea as long as it is sustainable I've had it happen three times in my career where the primary person that supported the tool left the company, and it took a while (or never) for someone else to know how to support or update it
- Server 2012 Windows Firewall Blocking FTP Traffic With Port 21 Allowed
A typical firewall running on the client sees this data channel connection request from the server as unsolicited and drops the packets, causing the file transfer to fail Windows Firewall with Advanced Security supports stateful FTP, which allows it match inbound connection requests on port 20 with previous outbound PORT commands from the client
- How to setup Remote Assistance (msra. exe offerra) to assist both Win7 . . .
In other words it doesn't have to be "complete" unsolicited assistance I would like that but it is not necessary for me Anyway, I have created a GPO and linked it to my computers OU that is supposed to configure the necessary settings for remote assistance and also modifies the Windows firewall to allow all of it to work
