- Is Userbenchmark a good way to compare hardware? : r pcmasterrace - Reddit
I get that userbenchmark is trash, but I wish there was a better alternative to offer than using 3DMark A much better alternative would be a website that compares average 3DMark scores for different products As simply using 3DMark yourself doesn't fulfill the same task as using a website like userbenchmark does

Userbenchmark's raw data is beyond excellent It's just that no one looks at the raw data UB then goes and performs a meta-analysis to fudge the results to what they want it to be, like weighing single thread performance much more than quad core, and ignoring 8+

Or comparing a 3070 to a 2080 Super will give “performance” results within a couple of percent, but the 3070 will be much better at ray tracing which userbenchmark doesn’t make particular clear Actual benchmarks (benchmarking your specific use case), with controlled variables, from trusted reviewers, is really the only way to compare

In my system setting I have two entries under display, it says one is NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB, and the other is Intel HD Graphics 4600 When I use UserBenchmark it uses the HD Graphics and says that my Graphics Card cannot play games (2 9%) I know that's not true, I'm playing modern games with High graphics settings at the moment
- UserBenchmark cannot test my GPU? : r buildapc - Reddit
The end result I'm concluding between this and researching more into UserBenchmark is that this was a UBM issue, since the rest of the PC works well and all drivers are up-to-date Thank you everyone for your help! I wanted to write up my conclusion for whomever else is running into this issue
