I’ve seen this on some European cars For example, the BMW M Coupes and M Roadsters have VINs that start with the letter W, this would normally mean they were built in Germany, but I thought they were built in South Carolina? Now for your confirmed allocated vehicles, there is a "temporary VIN" concept that cars get a number but then it changes to their permanent one once it moves further up the manufacturing process, maybe your confirmed allocated VINs have already changed to their permanent ones, or they just are too new to be in the system yet
