For VTA, I’ve found the 92 degree angle does indeed produce wonderful sound, and I measure with a USB microscope picture plus a angle-measuring tool on my laptop
- Does vertical tracking angle affect sound? What is the purpose?
If you have a mismatch between the vertical tracking angle (cartridge) and the vertical modulation angle (how the LP is cut), you get intermodulation distortion However, within the limits that you can change VTA by arm height, the differences are small Note that also vertical tracking force will affect VTA

- How does changing V. T. A effect sound? - Steve Hoffman Music Forums

- Ortofon 2m Blue - what tracking force are you using?
Few years ago I was using this cart on my Technics SL1210m5g, and it sounded the best at 1 8 VTF and a bit lower VTA than recommended At higher tnah 1 8 VTF it sounded lifeless, and at higher VTA - a bit bright The Ortofon 2M series are very VTA sensitive, from my experience, so it's worth playing a bit with the VTA (if your turntable have this option) in order to get best results
