Vagabond really helps to smooth out the pivot to high card in the middle Antes, since you usually play most of your hands (as opposed to discarding for the perfect first hand that does the whole round in one) You're essentially paying 1$ per pop for a random tarot, but it's even better when you're gonna be spending those hands anyways

I've just finished my Vagabond Vizbig collection (only for now, hopefully) a couple days ago and I definitely recommend it Comes with storyboard content and some little translated notes that Inoue wrote about himself and his thoughts in the Japanese tankōbons And that continuing spine art is just the best thing ever on my bookshelf

Making him a "rival" is a really shonen-manga route to go, I think -- Vagabond isn't even focused on any sort of rivalry Musashi has, particularly once he begins to mature out of the Spiral of Death Even if Matahachi kept up with him in terms of swordplay, Musashi's philosophy is far surpassing him, his enlightenment is beyond Matahachi's goals
