Established in 1983, VISTE’s mission is to enable elderly persons to remain safe and independent in their own homes VISTE provides essential services for over 4,100 seniors, including transportation (primarily to medical appointments), hot meals, supplemental groceries, ramps, and more

With clients that now range in age from 70-106, approximately 76% of all trips are medical in nature Today, VISTE drivers make over 1,000 trips each month Many VISTE clients rely on these transportation services when they are no longer able to drive

Many of VISTE’s Hot Meal clients comprise the most frail of the population we serve Hot Meal clients do not have the means to cook for themselves for various reasons, mostly due to declining health Sometimes, the volunteer who is delivering the meal may be the only person the Hot Meal client sees each week!
