VRO conversion w pump still working if the fuel side on your Pump is still working it is very simple unplug the 2 line harness going to the oil tank, unplug the 3 or 4 wire harness, going to the Vro pump cut and cap the oil line going into the motor add oil to fuel tank, mix well, then remove fuel line at top carb, catching gas in a container, pump the fuel

You obviously feel that your VRO pump is old and its reliability is in doubt VRO pumps do fail, some much younger than yours It is a calamity when they do fail I disabled mine at thirteen years One had failed on me and it was a calamity The VRO pump also pumps your fuel It is twenty years old, too Disabling the VRO does not cost much, if anything A

Re: VRO Bypass Kit The VRO was a sketchy thing when Evinrude first developed it around 1984 It underwent about 9 different versions each one becoming more reliable Mainly the original problem was the oil being used wasn't being pumped effectively and the motors were not lubricated properly

Re: Replace a VRO pump with a standard fuel pump the Maxrules com website will tell you what pump to buy and even sell you one have you tried a portable tank to see if the problem still exists? Have you checked the pulse limiter? Have you checked the vapor seperator cover gasket? If not, it will be quite likely that the problem will still exist with the new pump

Re: vro and how does it work? What year is your engine? You will most likely find the VRO pump attached to the breather box, the pump is black and has a bunch of fuel and oil hose going into it
