Is the website WaniKani a good resource for learning and practicing Kanji? I’ve been playing around with it for a bit and it seems alright I know it doesn’t show you how to write it, but I have a kanji book for writing practice I’m wondering if Wanikani is a good supplement?

Wanikani sounds really good to me as it sounds like an actuall curriculum Is it worth the money? Will it teach me the all the daily use kanji? How much do I need to to know to start immersing with baby games (yokai watch and pokemon) and maybe having some simple conversations? Wanikani was the thing that finally helped kanji start to click for me It definitely has its flaws but every app tool does and I'm very glad I started using it

The WaniKani SRS is terrible - prompting way too often and has no leeching In fact, WaniKani is only bearable when you install user scripts You could use the cutting edge FSRS algorithm in Anki or JPDB instead! Did WaniKani even test whether or not their intervals make sense?

Start Wanikani, I personally find it great, I use the website or mobile app Tsurukame I prefer using WK for my kanji starter because the interface is great, it switches keyboards from english to japanese, which is a feature missing from Anki (all platforms) that has been a big turn off for me
