So, a few months ago, I spoke about potentially reviving fixing etc Polyratings com After getting my senior project approved at the beginning of Fall, I've been working with faculty and the original creators on getting a baseline version of the site running on a modern tech stack (read: languages services not at their prime in 2001)

Our goal for the site is to give the Cal Poly Community a voice in its development and to ensure this, the new Polyratings site and related tools are completely open sourced

I understand the idea of giving professors a fresh start by not porting old reviews but think that the site won’t see as much use if professors don’t have reviews right now I’d personally like to see reviews ported from the old poly ratings site Regardless of what changes you do or don’t make, thank you for all the hard

Dr Matt Ritter for literally any class you can have him for I had him for Field Botany originally, but after falling in love with his teaching style I took Cal Poly Land and loved him for every second of both courses, and then went back and TA'd for him in Field Botany again Just an inspiring, fantastic guy

Yeah I wish people would stop Tryina be a hero and just let the Cal Poly section of RMP grow Too many temporary cooks in the kitchen It started because students were using it as their senior project or resume padding and then they just bail and screw over anyone else who was using it
