- What’s the difference between Ka and pKa? : r Biochemistry - Reddit
The proper equation is -log (Ka) = pKa The - (minus) before the log is so that the negative value of the power will have a positive pKa value e g 1 * 10-6, its pKa will be 6, (the -6 in the power is now a positive value) This also applies to pH or pOH, and probably elsewhere
- r PKA on Reddit: Anyone else find the hosts reaction to the news of . . .
If you go back to the week the divorce was finalized, Taylor missed PKA Woody said Taylor had said he was sick Woody then asks Taylor in multiple PKAs over the next few months if Taylor has any plans for kids Woody was then surprised when Taylor said the news on the show Kyle almost 100% already knew
- pKa, pH, and whether it is protonated or deprotonated?
I like to think of it like this: the pKa is the pH at which 50% of the ionizable groups are deprotonated Anything below the pKa of the group means the group is protonated, (low pH means acidic conditions, and acids give protons) any pH above the pKa is deprotonated (high pH means basic conditions, and bases steal protons)
- Okay but like what actually is pKa?? : r Mcat - Reddit
That means a a higher Ka value (equilibrium constant, as stated above), and because pKa is -log(Ka), that means a lower pKa value Which means half the molecules in solution will lose their protons at a lower pH than would happen if the molecule had a higher pKa value
- What’s rsk mean? : r PKA - Reddit
If you ask Kyle woody or Taylor they will say rsk means real sweet kids however in actuality it is a call back to an episode with wings in which the group calls a store as a prank and deems themselves the “rape squad killers” which the fan base has taken as the universal name for fans of the show but when asked they say real sweet kids for reason which are quite obvious
