Embrace Autism's own stance on its validity, based on this whitepaper, is that it's pretty reliable though a full assessment would be more authoritative, this is a fairly reliable indicator in a pinch

I discovered this resource through the pinned diagnostic wiki from this sub She's autistic herself and seems to have really up-to-date and more extensive assessments (very thorough and accommodating) I'm wondering because I finally got a spot with a psychologist in my state that does autism

Embrace Autism Assessment I had my final part of my assessment done a few days ago with Embrace Autism where Dr Engelbrecht let me know I do in fact have autism and ADHD! I wanted to make this post because I haven't heard very much about Embrace Autism's actual assessments on here

I've done my best to research Embrace Autism and Dr Engelbrecht, who runs the diagnostic part of the service, and from what I've seen the whole thing is very professional and Dr Engelbrecht is fairly well known and renowned in her field But to me, it seems too perfect of an opportunity

I did however later do another autism screening through ‘action for neurodiversity’ and that was a 2 hour long call via zoom in addition to submitting some documents and doing some tests, approximately for the same price as the embrace autism one, and this seemed MUCH more legit

I have been looking into getting a diagnosis (21F), but I'm struggling to find an Adult autism specialist in my state (US-based) that recognizes the different presentation of autistic women and doesn't use ABA
