it is about 6-7 the coverage is off and on, but the white sand reflects the heat atleast you will be near water the whole trip i hate bugs i would be more worried about ticks and chiggers have something with a bug net at night have fun its a nice leisurely walk

Mullica Wilderness Campground didn't seem too "wilderness" to me, as a few people just parked on the nearby sand road and walked in We reserved at Atsion, although you may want to place a reservation online, as the campground was crowded when we visited last June As for alcohol, I would advise you to keep any possession of the stuff discrete

i have camped there about 30 times only 4 times this year so far it is a wilderness and not meant for car camping MY stuff weights 20 lbs gear, food and 1 liter of water i don't even know what your stuff is? it's a 7 hike hike from Batsto and 26 miles from Bass river or Ong's hat the sand road is 5 miles in, but feels like 2 miles after 26

All, Yesterday while exploring near Atsion I came to a bridge that the Magellan topo calls Lock's Bridge It is a beautiful area on the Mulica where there is a bridge that is in ruins but still crossable by foot A few yards bast the bridge the Mulica rushes by and there is no bridge I assume

That was the wilderness on my mind but I couldn't recall the name I am sure there are many areas in the Barrens larger then 6 acres that would qualify Hell they shut roads down just top create wilderness like the mullica river wilderness camp Has a road running right through it but the signs stop regular folks like us from using a good through route whereas for some reason it doesn't destroy
