spelled as Windsor by the southern families down tomodern times Interestingly, the name Winsor has continued to be spelled as Winsor by the New England families, and the name Windsor has continued to be spelled as Windsor by the southern families down tomodern times I have heard two reasons for the difference in the spelling of Windsor Winsor

I saw your posting on John Osborn The best reference is Henry Stiles "Ancient Windsor" Volume II He states family tradition says John Osborn was of Whelsh origin Local researchers didn't believe this, but two of John's daughter's married into folks of Whelsh descendt Not sure if Oldage was a misspelled Aldrich or Aldage, but it is a rare name John was listed on the early founders marker in
