this may be a bit late but here is my exp and thoughts; i had the 3 8 compact xdm with the prp trigger and loved it and shot thousands of rounds thru it with zero issues it was definitely a competition level gun fast forward and the trigger became extremely light, like hair trigger like a hair fallling on it would cause a discharge i sold

I finally put the setup together and took my xdm with the Holsun 509t to the range Lesson learned at the range was that while the Holsun worked well shooting at still targets, that red dot took a relatively long time to find and use it I understand there is something called “vulcan”? That makes it easier to find the aim point

I have an original XD 4” service model, XDM elite compact, XDM elite 4 5”, XDM elite OSP, XDS 45ACP, XDM 9mm, and a 1911 I have to say I like them all They’re each unique and have things about them I like I don’t dislike either of them but a typical range day sees the XDM elite 4 5” and the XDM getting some love

I currently own an xds 45 and an xdm 5 25 9mm both have been great guns I am looking to add another carry gun larger than the xds for more capasity and easier shooting Im trying to decide between the xdm eliete 3 8 compact and the hell cat pro I like that the elite is very simmilar to my xdm which has been great for almost 25k rounds now
