Because when YouTube Music was still Google Play Music, YouTube Red was offered with it Since I liked playing social and political commentary on my phone while driving or while playing games but could only do so with other apps outside of YT, the GPM YR bundle at one low price made sense to me I got rid of Spotify for that reason

Somewhat of a solution found On a different post about this someone mentioned AirReceiver, an app for xbox And it works! You can mirror your screen to the app and music will keep playing in the background Just make sure to actually mirror your screen and not share from the YouTube music app
