I took ZipAir to Hawaii They are legit although I believe they don't include taxes in the total until you reach the final page when you buy the ticket Still it was about 25% cheaper than any other airline Also the plane was almost empty so you can spread yourself out onto a full row to sleep Free wifi was also a godsend although a bit slow

You'd need to find a Clear-without-Precheck line and those can be scarce depending on the airport The other person who replied to you mentioned Zipair now has Precheck, but in the future if you're in a similar situation you can always just book a refundable fare with a Precheck-qualifying airline and cancel that ticket once you're through the
