I can’t find the original carfax that was given to me unfortunately, but I did have a family member with me the day that I bought the car who was there to witness the dealer show me a clean car fax I owe 16k on the car and the dealership isn’t taking accountability for the cars issues

No, a dealer cannot make up their own Carfax report It's literally pulled from the Carfax database CARFAX is only as good as the data that they have at any given moment, sometimes those reports take a while to show up on the carfax report due to multiple factors This is why when I sell a vehicle we always print out the most recent version of the carfax report and everybody signs off on it

It appears to be the way the Carfax records the Massachusetts title report As you'll even see where some dealers will say in the description "Carfax one owner" but the Carfax says it's 2 owners And a large amount of lightly used cars have 2 owners on the title
