No 3 is USA built and E3 is Canadian built Lots of E2, E3, E4 E5 or Cockshutt versions around my but very few No 1, No 2 No 3 The No 3 is a 6 cylinder tractor while the No 1 2 are 4 cylinder same as the E3 or 30 The E series does not use the word Number in the model like the older ones do

The number on the frame is what you want 46= 1946 30 = A Cockshutt model 30 or a Co-op E3 one in the same The E3 would be orange the 30 would be red The nose strip would be different along with the decals The serial number is 142 making it a very early 30 The 141st to be made

The picture is a 1947 CO-OP E3 I took the nose strip to the paint shop and they matched it on a computer and mixed me up two gallons I have never seen a paint code for the early CO-OPs

Agree with other comments that this is a CO-OP E3 and it appears to be mostly original with usable rear wheels and tin Per other recommendations, purchasing a second 30 or E3 with a running engine and rear fenders will be far more cost effective than rebuilding the original engine, and they are readily available given that 30,000+ of these

That is a very very nice original e3 you shouldn't have a problem getting it sold, but the bad news is its not at all a rare or valuable tractor top end in my area would be 1300 average selling price of a 1000 and I have bought several for 5-700 in pretty close to the same condition
