SOLVED: ps4 wont use update on usb - PlayStation 4 - iFixit I just got myself a new 2tb hard drive for my PlayStation 4 and I got a USB flash drive that's been formatted so I could download the update I didn't download the first link at the top of the page but I downloaded the other one that's 800mb and made a file PS4->UPDATE-> "PS4UPDATE PUP" and out my PS4 in safe mode and tried initializing PS4 software and it says update not found! Need help ASAP!

A Quick Note for When Youre Installing a New Hard Drive So having clicked the big blue button and getting a file labeled PS4UPDATE PUP, one assumes when reading through PlayStation's instructions that when it says download now all it would do is spend another couple minutes downloading the same file again
can someone send me the ps4update. pup file : r PS4 - Reddit The USB stick has to be empty with only a PS4 file in this file you hew to create a UPDATE file and in this file you should put the ps4update pup and you hew to call it such or it won't work
