Edit: I did some more searching after reading the replies here and from what I've found, it's mostly fanartists getting doxxed I haven't read much about fanfic "proship" writers getting hate and maybe it's because their works are posted on ao3 and not on twitter where everyone can see immediately Based from my fics, yeah I guess I'm a proshipper

Anyone from proship people they were arguing with, to random users who had written a "problematic" fanfiction and uploaded it to AO3, to anyone who so much as uses AO3 at all, have all been the subjects of these harassment problems
