Earlier this year my Prophet X had to be repaired for the second time in less than a year from when Sequential sent me replacement parts Luckily I was able to recover it by replacing the battery and tweaking the power supply Now during a recording session the PX suddenly restarted itself and got stuck again I replaced the battery again and when I restarted it it's completely struggling now

Hi - Based on the stuff I read in this forum, it seems like a PX motherboard is a problem for some units I just bought a new PX and works just fine Booted up about 30 times and user samples go in and work fine My question is, since PX is discontinued, what happens if there is a motherboard problem 2 years from now? Will Sequential still have the motherboard available to fix my problem? Is

- Is a Prophet Rev2 a significant uppgrade over the Take 5?
I have a Sequential Take 5, and use it for creating pad sounds for my songs, and just for the fun of creating my own sounds I've seen some Prophet Rev2's for sale at pretty good prices-- both the 8-voice and 16-voice, and am wondering if they would be a significant upgrade over my Take 5 Can you create richer sounds on a Prophet than a Take 5?
