- IAW Honker Hunt | Iowa Water Fowlers Forum
Myself, camolife, and Too Tall teamed up for a quick field hunt this evening just as sunset was fast approaching
- Interesting Point To think about. . . | Iowa Water Fowlers Forum
container at an approved access site Waterfowl decoys cannot be left unattended for more than 30 minutes between midnight and one-half our after sunset Special regulations regarding the use of decoys on parts of the Mississippi River are described below
- Why is it. . | Page 2 | Iowa Water Fowlers Forum
That we can shoot a half hour before sunset, but not the half hour after? I can see just as much in the half hour after than the half hour before So what is the reasoning behind this? To give the birds more rest, and if that is the case, whats 30 more min
- very sad | Iowa Water Fowlers Forum

After setting up on the river this morning and not having any luck on honkers we hit a field tonight to see if our luck would change As luck would have it it did 2 guys 4 shots 4 birds Love it when they are back winging in the spread Nice sunset as we were picking up decoys

- shooting hours | Iowa Water Fowlers Forum
I have hunted afternoons before and to be honest, unless you are going to break the law and shoot after sunset, the hunting sucks The ducks don't fly until they see that big orange thing drop below the horizon and I cannot believe the number of idiots that stay out in the marshes blasting away after sunset
- As long as were dreaming. | Iowa Water Fowlers Forum
All in, early closing would help, but I'd rather see them close shooting at actual legal shooting time I'll often pick up decoys and watch the ducks geese fly after shooting time Every single time I was out last season there were people shooting 30+ (up to 50 or so) minutes after sunset
