- tecplot (cutting the 3D object in plane) - CFD Online
i would like to know that how can i visualize the results on a plane for a three dimensional object in tecplot i have modeled a 90 degree bend and i want to cut the slice at different angles (for example at 0, 45 and 90 degrees) and to see the velocity contours at each plane
- Alter equations in tecplot: taking derivatives - CFD Online
The Tecplot 360 manual will provide you all of the necessary syntax for our Data Alter Specify Equation tool It is Chapter 20, Section 1 1 Equation Syntax To take the derivative of X Velocity the equation is ddy({X Velocity})
- schlieren output -- CFD Online Discussion Forums
Tecplot 360 can make a “simulated” Schlieren via flooded contours of the density magnitude Image
- vorticity from tecplot -- CFD Online Discussion Forums
In the version of tecplot I'm using (tecplot 360 2008, linux) I click on the `analyze' menu and select `calculate variables' I can then select vorticity and can then plot contours of the x-vorticity, y-vorticity etc I'm sure other versions of Tecplot will have similar options
- How to plot a contour from an excel file in Tecplot?
Tecplot is unable to create a contour plot from data that is "unconnected" (which is what Excel data are) One can connect data in Tecplot a variety of ways Once Tecplot understands the connectivity of the data, then it will be able to produce the contour Option 1
- How to use variables from two zones? or how to combine them?
In my project I have to put my variables in different files for all time steps, now I wanted to know is there is solution in order to combine them again in Tecplot? After loading the data each of the variables shows as a separate zone and I mean e g plot velocity from one zone vs pressure in other zone Thank you Best Mohammad
