Here is an easy one My tranny gasket was about gone so I replaced it I dropped the pan, changed the filter and gasket and then replaced the pan I put four qaurts Dextron Mercron III tranny fluid into it Started motor, let it get hot, shifted through all gears and checked the fluid level

Well after putting in the new clutch and bellhousing I tried to get the transmission in with absolutely no luck I thought that things weren't aligned correctly and the input shaft was hitting the pilot bushing Well I take the bellhousing off and re-align the clutch disc with a clutch

So, you are right, lowering the tail of the tranny a bit would give me a little better angle AND get the tranny off the tunnel I may then need to play with the diff side, but I am adjustable there too, so I can go up or down as needed Also, I knew that I had a broke back setup, there may even be a thread here from me a while back talking
